MY INSPIRATION

Here is a collection of various images of people, places, interior design, music, art and writers that inspire me as well as lots of other random stuff :-) Inspiration is what keeps me going and alive as a creative and keeps my sewing classes and dressmaking workshops and projects going and growing...I hope you will enjoy these images and stories as much as I do.

GABRIEL 'COCO' CHANEL

Here is one of the women in fashion I feel most inspired by. The wonderful  Gabriel "Coco" Chanel who contributed to change fashion in the 1920s radically challenging the shapes and concepts of women's clothing up until that moment. Her designs set women free from the painful and restrictive corsets of the previous decades and empowered them to cross gender boundaries by creating the very first androginy looks. I love her forward thinking and courage to push the boundaries of what was considered to be acceptable women's dress code. She was a true amazon and pioneer of fashion. Coco Chanel I salute you!

THE 50S KITCHEN

I absolutely love vintage homes and I myself have many vintage furniture items and various homewares in my house. I can just picture myself wearing one of the 50s dresses I made, pottering about in this kitchen or chatting over tea with friends at the table. One day I want a 50s Kitchen just like this one!
